what music do you like to play the most?
Jazz, especially smooth jazz.

Close my eyes and take a deep breath.
What is one of your favorite performance experiences?
Patti LaBelle watched my band one night. She took time to meet with us and told me she loved my voice and bass playing.
Whom do you admire (composers, players, non-musicians)?
Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, John Coltrane, Judge Muir, and Fred Thayer.
if you weren't a musician, what would you be?
A lawyer or a carpenter.
What made you decide to play bass?
I’ve always loved the low frequencies and how they vibrate deep in the soul.
What is the nicest thing an orchestra has ever done for you?
Allow me to perform and have patience with me. When I started with the WSO, I really didn’t have much experience in an orchestra setting.
how do you like to communicate with audiences?
I touch my nose to say “hello” instead of waving.
