Williamsport Symphony Orchestra has shared the stage with some of the most amazing musicians on the planet. Not only are these visitors impressed with the
Symphony, but they are impressed by Williamsport and the region.
WSO guests have included Grammy winners such as baritone singer Jan Leibnitz, bassist Edgar Meyer, and guitarist Sharon Isbin; million-selling “renaissance man” and keyboardist Mike Garson (David Bowie); acclaimed pianist Chu-Fang Huang, winner of the prestigious Cleveland Piano Competition, and other outstanding performers from screen, stage, and symphony hall—as well as locally bred virtuosos and recording artists who have attained national and global recognition.
Guest artists often give master classes and workshops to regional grade schools, colleges, and universities. These events have been very well received, and they give students a thrilling and unique educational event.
