The Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra, an adjunct to the WSO performs two concerts: one in the fall and one in the spring. The Youth Orchestra provides an educational and performance medium for aspiring musicians under eighteen years of age.
The Youth Orchestra is perceived by its members as a very special opportunity. It is an ensemble in which the love of orchestral playing and the skills required to do it well are nurtured at the highest possible level.

The purchase or rental price of a set of music ranges from $200 to $1,000. Your support as a music sponsor will increase the range of repertoire that can be selected for our Youth Orchestra. Naturally, the choice of music is critical to the development of skills and experience in young musicians, and sponsorship is a means to support this.

The Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra Section Sponsorship recognizes the value of teamwork inherent in any symphony orchestra. With up to sixteen sections of players within the orchestra, section sponsorship underscores the valuable part that each group of musicians brings to the orchestra
as a whole.

It is our aim to find a sponsor for each student musician. The Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra Member Sponsorship recognizes the value of teamwork inherent in any symphony orchestra. With up to seventy-five players within the orchestra, member sponsorship is a means of congratulating individual musicians for the hard work that has enabled them to achieve a level of skill worthy of membership in the WSYO.
