annual fund

Our ongoing donors are true heroes of the WSO. Every year, our operating and program costs increase by about 10% as we work to fulfill our pledge to the region: the significant provision of quality live music and numerous educational opportunities. We rely on the generosity of our annual fund donors to ensure our success.

donations

The WSO continues to make an enormous contribution to the cultural, educational, and economic well being of the region. Our current challenge is to increase the number of donors who are committed to the growth and quality of the orchestra. Consider the role you can play in our future. Contributions of $50 or more are acknowledged in our season program, and all donations will receive a receipt for tax purposes.

endowment fund

In 2004, an endowment fund (Campaign for Williamsport Symphony Orchestra) was established in order to create an income stream that would be managed for the WSO by the First Community Foundation of Pennsylvania. The Fund provides resources to support the general operations of the WSO. Contributions to this restricted fund are invested to preserve the principal in perpetuity. Earnings of the fund are used to support the Orchestra's professional growth. Please call and talk to Dawn Linn at First Community Foundation (570-321-1500).

You can create your own legacy with a planned gift. The WSO's strong community presence has infused as much as $1.5 million into the local economy in a single season. Long after the last note in the concert hall has gone silent, the WSO’s impact and contribution continues to be heard throughout our region. volunteering

Equally as welcome as your financial support is the gift of your time. Many tasks would benefit from the help of willing volunteers, such as archiving, mailing support, committee membership, photocopying, program distribution, etc. Please e-mail John Blair for more information.
