| Trombonists Ryan Rosenbaum and Elisabeth Shafer and trumpeter Korrine Carpenter perform at the WSYO's February 12th concert. The WSYO premiered “Lincoln Elegy,” a commissioned work composed by Patrick Long to commemorate Abraham’s Lincoln’s 200th birthday. The concert was later broadcast on WVYA-FM and received another round of accolades. The WSYO also performed Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony (in honor of Mendelssohn’s 200th birthday) and Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto, featuring WSO trumpeter Dale Orris. |
